About organic dandelion root tea
Our organic dandelion root is cut and dried from dandelion plants grown under controlled organic conditions. Brewed as tea, the root has a bitter-sweet taste and can also be used for dandelion vinegar or as a local coffee substitute.
Preparation
For one cup, use 3-5g, about 1-2 teaspoons, of cut dandelion root and pour over boiling water. Let steep for 8-10 minutes. Alternatively, briefly bring the root to a boil with 200-250ml cold water and let steep for at least 10 minutes before straining.
Origin and quality
The roots come from controlled organic cultivation in Europe. They are cut directly after harvest and gently dried to preserve natural flavor and quality.
Good to know
Dandelion root can grow up to one meter long in the ground. The fresh plant contains a milky sap that may irritate sensitive skin; this is not present in the same way in the dried roots.
