Ingredient Astaxanthin

Its unique red color is due to the so-called "Astaxanthin," a naturally occurring antioxidant. Due to its ability to mix with water, it is well tolerated and can be optimally processed by the body. Besides the animal source, the nutrients of krill oil can also be obtained from algae, which krill feed on.

Krill Oil at VITALOVE

The "Superba 2TM" krill oil capsules from Unimedica available in our shop come from certified and strictly controlled fishing. The "Eco Harvesting Label" certifies an environmentally friendly and sustainable harvesting process.
We offer the high-quality krill oil in capsule form. The small softgel capsules made of gelatin are easy to take and leave no fishy aftertaste. They are both lactose- and gluten-free and contain no colorants or artificial stabilizers. The bottles are available with a filling quantity of 60 or 120 softgel capsules. The maximum daily dose is 2 capsules of 2000 mg each.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Krill Oil Capsules

The effect in the body is quickly and easily enabled by the capsule form. The fatty acids, which are otherwise difficult to supplement through food, can be optimally dosed and taken via the capsules. No elaborate storage is necessary.
A disadvantage is that krill oil cannot be produced vegetarian or vegan due to its animal origin. Likewise, our softgel capsules contain animal gelatin. Without this ingredient, a simplified and pleasant product intake would unfortunately not be possible.
Furthermore, the gelatin prevents increased oxidation of the oil and thus guarantees a longer shelf life of the capsules. We are committed to environmentally conscious and sustainable manufacturing processes.
Krill oil should not be taken in case of hypersensitivity to crustaceans, seafood, or fish.

We Value Sustainability

The shipping of the krill oil capsules is climate-neutral via Swiss Post.
With krill oil from Unimedica in the VITALOVE shop, you receive a high-quality omega-3 nutrient source. From production to sale, we stand for naturalness and sustainability at every step of our distribution. This is also confirmed by our certification according to the Swiss organic regulation. Frequently Asked Questions

Krill oil is available in our VITALOVE shop, on the websites of our suppliers, as well as in drugstores and pharmacies.

Krill oil capsules contain high amounts of Omega 3. Omega 3 fatty acids are an important component of the human body. For easier intake, we recommend our softgel capsules.

Krill oil is an oil made from small crustaceans. Since the Antarctic crustacean feeds on algae, krill oil provides valuable omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

A dark and dry storage at room temperature below 25 degrees is recommended. Due to the dark material of the storage container, light-protected storage is automatically ensured. When stored in the refrigerator, the oil may crystallize and become cloudy. Please keep out of reach of small children.
