General Information

dried wheat germ

Wheat germ oil is known for its high vitamin E content of around 190 mg per 100 ml. It also contains omega-6 fatty acids and secondary plant compounds. This valuable oil is obtained from the tiny germs of the wheat grain by gentle pressing. Temperatures above 40°C are avoided during production to preserve the valuable ingredients.

Wheat germ oil is classified as a food supplement. The daily consumption amount of two teaspoons, about 6.5 g, should not be exceeded.

Due to its low smoke point, the oil should not be heated. It is best used in cold dishes to preserve its ingredients. Its grain-like taste makes it easy to integrate into everyday meals.
