General Information
Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) is one of the best-known algae superfoods. This microalgae has become increasingly popular with health-conscious people and is now used in many diets. Spirulina algae are rich in carotenoids and consist of around 60 percent protein, making them especially interesting for vegetarian and vegan nutrition.
Use and Application

The blue-green spirulina algae are popular in smoothies and give them a characteristic green color. If the taste is too intense, fruit can be added to balance it. Spirulina powder is also used in fruit purees, savory soups and even baked goods. The recommended daily intake is usually 3 to 5 grams.
Spirulina Properties
Unlike some other microalgae, spirulina has no cellulose walls, which makes its ingredients readily available. It grows in mineral-rich freshwater and is naturally low in iodine compared with many sea algae.
Properties

Spirulina gets its name from its spiral-shaped growth. Its taste is reminiscent of earth and seaweed and can be quite intense at first. When buying spirulina, it is important to pay attention to clean cultivation and reliable quality checks.
Origin and Production
Spirulina algae belong to the cyanobacteria group and are among the oldest bacterial species in the world. After harvesting, the microalgae are gently dried and processed into fine dark green powder. Our organic spirulina powder is a vegan natural product with no added colorants, preservatives or additives. The algae are grown according to controlled organic standards.
Important Notes
Organic spirulina powder is a food supplement and is not intended to treat or cure diseases. Please maintain a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. It is not suitable for people with algae allergies or phenylketonuria.
