General Information About Lavender Flowers

Lavender is often associated with scented sachets, candles, soap or laundry products. But lavender has much more to offer, including exciting culinary uses. In Italy, France and Spain it is a familiar ingredient in the spice cupboard.

Lavender flowers can add a special aromatic note to everyday dishes. They work in both savory and sweet recipes. Their flavor combines spicy and sweet notes reminiscent of vanilla, rosemary and bergamot, while the scent is floral with a woody undertone. Our dried organic lavender flowers come in a resealable bag, are easy to use and are food quality.

Using Lavender Flowers

Lavender flowers are versatile and can be used in tea, cooking, body care and around the home.

Lavender Flower Tea

For lavender tea, pour hot water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried lavender flowers. After about 10 minutes of steeping, the tea is ready to drink.

In the Kitchen

Lavender flowers can add that special something to savory and sweet creations. They can also be mixed with sea salt to create a fragrant seasoning salt. Because lavender has an intense flavor and aroma, start with a small amount and add more if needed.

Lavender butter is a lovely addition to bread rolls, baguette, potatoes and meat. Simply mix butter with lavender flowers, a little parsley and salt. Lavender flowers can also be used in dips, dressings, salads, muesli or yogurt.

Body Care / Relaxation

For a relaxing bath, simmer about 50 g lavender flowers in one liter of boiling water for around 10 minutes at low heat. Strain the flowers and add the clear infusion to warm bath water.

In the Home

Lavender flowers can provide a fresh, pleasant scent in the home. Fill them into a small cotton bag and place it wherever you like, for example in a wardrobe.

Ingredients

The bag contains only what nature provides: pure dried lavender flowers. They are ready to use and contain no colorants, preservatives, fragrances or other additives.
