What is royal jelly?

Royal jelly is a white-yellow secretion with a slightly sour taste. This bee superfood is produced by worker bees especially to feed the queen bee and larvae. It is created from a mixture of flower pollen and honey, enriched with special enzymes from the bees' storage systems.

Royal jelly is rich in vitamins, trace elements, minerals, fatty acids and amino acids. It contains at least 1.7% 10-HDA, an important fatty acid, as well as valuable polyphenols and flavonoids.
